Use the search to the right to choose a category from the recipe store.  You can find specific recipes by adding a word from the title.  All recipes are now printer friendly - just click on the icon at the top right of any recipe page.

If you would like to submit a recipe of your own, simply register with us so that we have an e-mail address should there be any problem with your recipe.  You can then log in at any time and add more and more recipes to inspire all camping chefs.  Please note that a member of our team will check the recipe before it is published, so it may be a day or two before your dish appears in the list.

  • Brief Description: Easy to make, this warming soup is ideal to beat the cold winter weather and uses only fresh vegetables in season. You can leave out any you don't like or add a few that you do. Enjoy.
  • Preparation Time: 15 to 20 minutes
  • Cooking Time: about 30 minutes
  • Recipe: BBQ Tuna Steak with Creamed Leeks and Mushrooms
  • Brief Description: A very different and delicious accompaniment to a simple tuna steak. This versatile combination can be cooked in a pan if preferred. This recipe feeds two.
  • Preparation Time: About 5 minutes
  • Cooking Time: 10 to 15 minutes depending on the thickness of the tuna.
  • Recipe: Australian Lamb Stew
  • Brief Description: Any local lamb will make a delicious, satisfying meal with tomatoes and peppers giving flavour to a simple to prepare dish.
    This recipe feeds two, but just add more meat for a larger family - there is plenty of 'gravy' from these quantities.
  • Preparation Time: About 10 minutes
  • Cooking Time: 1.1/2 to 2 hours in a medium oven. Or 4 to 5 hours in a slow cooker.
  • Recipe: Stir-Fried Pork with Peppers and Ginger
  • Brief Description: Quick and easy to prepare, this colourful dish has a hint of the Orient. These quantities are sufficient for two people. You can adjust the quantities by using larger peppers and onions if you wish. How much garlic you use is up to you.
  • Preparation Time: About 5 minutes
  • Cooking Time: 10 to 15 minutes
  • Recipe: Slow Cooked Lamb Shanks
  • Brief Description: Mouth-wateringly tender lamb in a tomato-ey gravy. This recipe is based on four people, each eating a full lamb shank. Just make sure you have space in your slow cooker as the lamb shanks can be awkward to place in a circular pot. Feel free to add or subtract the herbs and spices.
  • Preparation Time: 20 to 30 minutes
  • Cooking Time: 5 to 6 hours in a slow cooker.
  • Recipe: Beef Pot Roast
  • Brief Description: This is a traditional pot roast using mostly root vegetables found in wintertime. A whole meal is cooked in the slow cooker and will be ready to serve when you are. Depending on how much meat you like on your plate, this recipe will feed 3 to 4 people.
  • Preparation Time: 10 to 15 minutes.
  • Cooking Time: 4 to 6 hours in a slow cooker.
  • Recipe: Slow Cooked Beef
  • Brief Description: A variation on the traditional pot-roast, this recipe combines the flavours of Mediterranean vegetables with a British beef joint. Excellent as a main meal at any time of the year, served directly from the slow cooker whenever you return to base.

  • Brief Description: Quick to cook in a single pan, this traditional dish of beef and mushrooms in a creamy sauce is sure to impress. Recipe makes enough for two. Feel free to adjust the amount of garlic and paprika to suit your own taste.

  • Cooking Time: 20 to 25 minutes
  • Recipe: French Onion Soup
  • Brief Description: A simple, quick and warming soup reminiscent of those holidays in France. Onions are a fantastic source of vitamins and minerals. This recipe will feed about four people - depending on appetite.

  • Brief Description: Simply cooked in the oven, this is a light summer lunch in one dish.
