If you would like to submit a recipe of your own, simply register with us so that we have an e-mail address should there be any problem with your recipe.  You can then log in at any time and add more and more recipes to inspire all camping chefs.  Please note that a member of our team will check the recipe before it is published, so it may be a day or two before your dish appears in the list.

  • Recipe: Griddle Scones
  • Brief Description: Another recipe suggested at the NFOL in Anglesey this year which uses the flat griddle plate of a BBQ to cook simple scones for tea. Based on a traditional Monmouthshire recipe, the scones were originally cooked on a bakestone, but a griddle or heavy frying pan will give perfect results.
  • Preparation Time: about 10 minutes
  • Cooking Time: about 5 minutes per batch.
  • Recipe: Welsh Crumpets
  • Brief Description: Simple to cook on a BBQ, this is a variation on a drop scone as provided during the NFOL in Anglesey.
  • Preparation Time: About 5 minutes
  • Cooking Time: less than 5 minutes per batch
  • Recipe: Sweet and Spicy Prawns in Pasta
  • Brief Description: Quick to prepare, this meal is ideal for summer lunch or evenings. The sauce seems sweet at first, but has a spicy after taste that is not hot, just a little different.
  • Preparation Time: About 5 minutes
  • Cooking Time: About 10 minutes
  • Recipe: Fish and Leeks in Cheese Sauce
  • Brief Description: Suitable for either a light lunch or supper this dish is flexible and can be cooked on one or two burners with a little planning. If you are using one burner, cook the fish first, then the leeks then the sauce.
  • Preparation Time: less than 5 minutes
  • Cooking Time: About 10 minutes
  • Recipe: Chicken Wrap in a spicy mushroom sauce
  • Brief Description: Oven baked chicken wrapped in bacon with a hint of chilli. Serve as many people as you like - just add a little more sauce if necessary.
  • Preparation Time: about 15 minutes
  • Cooking Time: 45 minutes to 1 hour, depending on size of chicken portions
  • Recipe: Baked Sea Bass
  • Brief Description: The simplest way of cooking any whole, fresh fish. If you do not have an oven available, simply wrap each fish in tinfoil and cook on a BBQ.
  • Preparation Time: 10 minutes
  • Cooking Time: about 15 minutes, depending on the size of the fish
  • Recipe: Potato and Onion Bake
  • Brief Description: A simple way to cook potatoes in the oven. Add grated cheese or carrots to vary the recipe depending on how you serve it. It makes a great accompaniment to any meat or fish.
  • Preparation Time: 5 to 10 minutes
  • Cooking Time: about 1 hour, depending on the depth of the dish
  • Recipe: Turkey Stuffed Pepper
  • Brief Description: Make use of that left over Christmas turkey to create a colourful, tasty and quick to make meal. These ingredients feed two, but just add one pepper each to feed the whole family. Also works perfectly with left over roast Chicken at other times of the year.

  • Brief Description: Light lunch or supper. Perhaps one of several dishes to create your own Chinese Banquet. A simple mix of scrambled egg and king prawn. Easy and quick to cook - delicious to eat.

  • Brief Description: A quick and simple dessert, ideal for colder days. These quantities should feed a family of four - but you might need to make more for seconds.
