Welcome to Mealsinfields.co.uk the online cookbook with hundreds of ideas for simple to prepare, quick to cook meals for campers everywhere.
All the recipes work in caravans, tents, boats, campervans, motorhomes and other small spaces – such as student lodgings. The easy-cook meals have been selected to be quick to prepare, using locally sourced ingredients and to need short cooking times. We have included recipes for the slow cooker (crock pot) and microwave as these facilities are now available when on mains hook up.
We support the shop local campaign and are creating a definitive, national list of farm shops, independent local shops and farmers markets where you can buy locally produced food to cook in your caravan or tent.
Also included are pubs, clubs, restaurants, cafes and tea rooms where you can sample locally sourced food prepared especially for you.
Please let us know if you have a farm shop, farmers market or independent butcher, baker or greengrocer on your high street who should be included in our directory. Don’t forget your favourite pub, restaurant, cafe or tea room, as we need their details too.
If you have a recipe that you cook in your caravan, tent, boat, campervan, motorhome or mobile home that does not appear in our online cookbook, please let us have the details and we will publish it for you. We aim to offer at least one thousand different recipes to suit all tastes and all pockets.
